OCTOBER IS NEURODIVERSITY MONTH!

During October, Merrymount is celebrating neurodiversity. Neurodiversity refers to natural differences in the way we think, learn and behave. It also refers to a world-wide movement headed by disabled people who are advocating for freedom, autonomy and inclusion in their communities. ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Epilepsy and Tourette’s syndrome are all examples of neurodivergence. Neurodivergent individuals can bring out-of-the-box thinking and creative solutions to the education setting. At Merrymount, we understand that all people learn differently and need different things to support them in the classroom. Stop by Merrymount’s bulletin board to learn more about how to embrace our brain differences.

Huge shout out to parents Melissa Bobissa and Liz West for working on the board and presentation. Link of the presentation is in comments.
